7th Annual Changing Lives Benefit Gala for the American Institute for Stuttering

Emily Blunt hosted the Freeing Voices, Changing Lives gala where she gave a speech and presented a leadership award to Samuel L. Jackson, both of whom overcame stuttering.

Creating a custom carpet with your logo is another way to make your red carpet event a memorable night! You can re-use this carpet at any event to make your logo stand out. You also have the option of embedding a star, name or number into the carpet as well!

One of the most popular carpet related questions we receive at RCR is How Big of a Carpet should I buy? The answer depends on your event size and how much space you have for your Red Carpet
 
It is important to measure your event space first then call for pricing. This will help you determine exactly how much space you have to roll out your carpet and give RCR the opportunity to provide you pricing and better assist with additional sizing / pricing questions.
 
Carpet sizing also differs by how you use it. If the carpet is being used as an entrance walkway, it is best to go with a longer carpet around a length of 15 or 20 feet. If you are just using it to pose for pictures, a length of about 10′ or less is ideal.
 
The average width of red carpet is 3′ – 4′ but that can also vary based on event space.
 
Many times, fashion shows take place on red carpets so you must account for how many people will be on it at one time. The average width of a person is about two feet, so if two people are walking at once, a width of at least 4′ is necessary.
 
These are just a few examples of how knowing your event and space can greatly help your search for the perfect carpet size. The more informed you are the easier it is!

5 Tips For Designing Your Backdrop

Red Carpet Runway experts have compiled 5 important tips to help you plan the perfect red carpet event!

 

1. Size Matters


Make sure you know how much space you are working with so you will have the appropriate size backdrop for your party.
Gold – 5 feet wide, great for 2-3 people

5' x 8' Gold Package

Platinum – 7 feet wide, great for 3-4 people

7' x 8' Platinum Package

Hollywood – 10 feet wide, great for 4-5 people & group photos

8' x 10' Hollywood Package

2. Logo Quality


For best quality output, logos should be in original Vector files (.ai, .eps, .pdf) If you are using Raster files (.psd, .jpg, tif ) – they should be 300 dpi or better for best output. Your logo can be manipulated as needed from there.

3. Logo Structure


For best visual results, the logo width shouldn’t be more than double the height. Note: Disproportionately sized logos may disturb the patterned layout.

4. Fonts


When choosing patterns that include both text and logos, or text only, select a font style that is bold, clean, clear and can be read from a distance.
