The Modern Music Academy held an Instrumental Recital for their students to perform for their friends and families! The students even got the Red Carpet Treatment and posed in front of a custom 7′ x 8′ step and repeat by RCR! After the recital, Juan Mendoza, Guitar Center’s National Drum-Off Champion, taught a master class to all the students. The event was a blast! Check out the gallery below.

SOAR Overnight Summer 2013

The Forty-Niner Shops, in conjunction with ASI Recreation, participated in welcoming incoming students to the Student Recreation and Wellness Center. They also featured some of their amazing products from BeachTech, the campus computer store located on the upper level of the University Bookstore, in which they displayed Apple products for students to use in their time of leisure. The kids had an awesome time playing with props and showing off the Apple products they get to use!

The Red Carpet Runway Experience

For many people, planning a red carpet event can be overwhelming at first, but RCR makes it easy! The process is simple and you have a Red Carpet expert guiding you along the way.
 

 
The first step is knowing what size package will work for your event. RCR offers 4 package options, ranging from 4′ x 7′ backdrops to 10′ x 8′ backdrops. Your event will usually determine the backdrop size you need, and you always have the option of choosing a custom size backdrop.
 
Package Guide
 
Each package also has a Portable or Professional option. The portable package is more cost efficient and comes with grommets and hanging hooks. The professional version comes with a retractable 8′ stand that sets up in 20 minutes. Both packages come with a carpet and carpet carry bag.
 
Portable v. Professional Packages
 
Once you’ve decided on a package, the next step is creating a digital proof. It’s important to make sure your logos are high quality or original vector files so they can be blown up to any size without pixellation occurring. If you do upload a low resolution logo, RCR’s designers will always inform you that a higher resolution logo is needed. Follow the link to learn about different logo versions and which will work best.
 
Raster v. Vector
 
If you don’t have a logo already, RCR offers a customizable logo bank. Just choose the logo(s) you like best–there is no logo limit or extra charge for multiple logos– along with your color scheme/text choice and our designers will create you a custom logoed backdrop! We will even work with you to create a one-of-a-kind logo if you so choose. It is important to choose fonts and colors that will be easily seen in photographs, so keep that in mind when creating your own logo!
 

 
Once you have a high quality logo or you’ve decided on a pre-designed one, you will receive a digital proof. These are free of charge and you will be able to correspond with an Red Carpet expert to get your design just right! Once you confirm your design, you will choose a carpet color (no extra charge for colors) and receive an online invoice. Once payment is submitted, we print, pack and ship your RCR package to you! Your carpet and stand will ship next day, while the backdrop takes 2 days to produce and ship.

How To Convert Fonts to Outlines

Converting fonts to outlines is a simple task that can be easily forgotten when saving and sending logos to be printed on your Step and Repeat Custom Backdrop. Please remember to do the following in Adobe Illustrator before submitting logos:

 
1. Unlock all visible Layers
2. Click Cmd (Ctrl for PC) + A (this will select all visible art)
3. Click ‘Type’ in the Top Menu followed by ‘Create Outlines’ (See Image Below)
 


This exercise will help expedite your proof for printing and give you the best possible output on your Custom Backdrop.

Fashion stylist and designers were there to give you the inside scoop on what celebrities are wearing.
